Lots Of Respect For These People
"INMED provided me with invaluable knowledge on the health problems in developing countries, their treatment, community development, and public health. It has also provided me with insight into cultural issues involved in international health. My excellent learning experience in the INMED International Medicine Intensive Course gave me the core cognitive knowledge. My supervised learning in Ghana added to that the opportunity to serve in and experience working in a developing nation with limited financial and material resources. Above all, INMED has inspired me to do what I can to help the less fortunate. I have developed a lot of respect for those people."

Respect For Every Person In The World
"I respect the approach of INMED regarding faith and how it impacts their heart to work in underserved and international settings. I also deeply respect how INMED views humanity, individuals, and other cultures. They communicate respect and acknowledge that every person deserves to live with dignity. INMED teaches us to be humble, not going in to a foreign community thinking our knowledge is superior as is so common in the American mind, but to enter realizing it is a privilege to be invited there by community partners with whom we cooperate for the benefit of every resident."

Organized My International Elective
"I heard about INMED through my school and I was happy to have a reputable program make recommendations on where to go for a quality experience. It would have been overwhelming verifying the legitimacy of a program on my own through references and contacts and such...The INMED Staff provided great contact and communication, and I always felt as if there was someone I could go to for assistance, if need be. Many thanks for your help organizing my international health elective!"

Yours Is A GREAT Program!
"My rotation in Uganda with INMED was one of the best experiences of my entire life. I enjoyed the clinical and cultural aspects of the experience, but I particularly remember how well the INMED International Medicine Online Course helped to prepare me for the emotional aspect of the trip. Yours is a GREAT program and I hope to participate with INMED again in the near future. This summer, I will start an emergency medicine position in Auckland, New Zealand. Learning through INMED to work effectively across cultures is one of the reasons I feel comfortable moving to a new country."

No Hesitation To Recommend INMED
"I had a very positive experience with INMED. I wanted to complete my last physical therapy practicum by doing medical missions, but my university did not have many resources. INMED was the organization I needed. The staff was very organized, and I especially appreciated this because I was traveling by myself. My experience in India was amazing! The staff was very willing to teach me about physical therapy interventions. They also were kind and we enjoyed conversations about our cultures, families, religions, and education. I grew immensely from this experience and I would not hesitate to recommend INMED to anyone."

Experienced The Human Side Of Caring
"This was my first international experience and INMED made it easy to get organized. The staff at INMED was very helpful and always got back to me in a timely manner. The INMED International Medicine Certificate program made me keenly aware of global health issues, as well as the human side of caring. I spent all day with a woman admitted from pre-natal clinic, and I assisted with her C-section that night. Afterward I brought her baby to her, and she looked at me and said, "God bless you!" This was a small phrase inspired me because it was sincere and from her heart."

Reinforced My Desire To Practice International Medicine
"Going through INMED made my training experience in Guatemala very easy to set up. My communication and interactions with INMED was very good and timely. I felt INMED to be extremely supportive and available to assist me. The INMED International Medicine Online Course was very valuable preparation for my great experience with Agape In Action. I was given a large amount of independence, balanced with a comfortable degree of supervision for my language and medical abilities. Allowing my non-medical wife to accompany me was priceless. Personally, this experience reinforced my desire to practice international medicine. INMED is an outstanding program!"

Superb Teaching In An Organized Environment
"My training in Angola was so very different than any medical mission I've ever experienced. Before, I was the leader, though really knew almost nothing about the nation, nor the health needs of the community. But in Angola, under the guidance of Dr. Steve Foster, I was truly learning. His teaching was superb and the medical care was well established. In this organized environment, I rapidly caught on to the particular needs and nuances of Angola. I was also able to teach some of my own skills to the staff, and to truly save some lives. I made the right choice to go with INMED!"

Could Have Never Done By Myself
"INMED provided what I could have never done myself. I was told about the organization by some classmates that had found their global health trainings sites through INMED, and I feel that God used the program to answer my prayers. I was able to confidently make an informed decision about where to go, and I am nothing but pleased with the assistance, guidance, and information INMED offered. Micah Flint at INMED was very understanding and always patient and available when I needed him. I was nervous about some of the logistics of my trip, and he did everything I asked to make things easier."

I Learned More Than I Ever Imagined Possible
"My experience at Choma General Hospital in Zambia was simply fantastic. I grew as a doctor, as a surgeon, and most importantly, as a whole person. I enjoyed working along side Dr. Ken Johnson, and his remarkable colleagues at the hospital. I learned more than I ever imagined possible about international medicine, the Zambian culture, and performing surgery in the developing world with limited resources. One of my goals was to improve my physical exam skills and learn to not rely on expensive image testing to confirm a diagnosis. I definitely achieved a new level of competence in this arena."

Very Well Equipped Me For The Future
"My entire rotation was very positive, very well organized, and very well equipped me for volunteer medical experiences in the future. The faculty at Baptist Medical Center was willing to train me in any relevant healthcare skill I desired, as well as providing critical information about how to lead health projects in that type of environment. INMED's Skylar Rolf was also incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, being extremely professional and prompt. No room for improvement! I have already passed INMED's information along to several younger students who are interested in an international rotation."

Well Thought Out Training Program
"INMED is a well thought out, training program that does a great job of preparing even the most internationally-nave learner to travel to a new culture and function far better than without this preparation. The INMED curriculum was instrumental in making me an effective servant during my time in Ghana. The international medicine online course, the help in planning the logistics of my trip to Ghana, and the support of the INMED staff made my experience far more effective and meaningful. I am grateful for the opportunity to have served with INMED and look forward to more opportunities in the future!"

Solidified My Desire To Do Full-Time Missions
"My experience at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital in Papua New Guinea was outstanding. It was definitely a time that I will never forget and will always cherish. I saw many patients and felt like I was able to contribute. The INMED International Medicine Diploma Program had an overwhelming impact on my personal life and my academic endeavors. The INMED resource materials are well organized and useful. The infectious disease component was a good overview of the more common tropical diseases. My experience solidified my desire to do full-time missions in the future."

Quality Service Learning Experience
"I can say without hesitation that I was very satisfied with my INMED experience. I have done medical work abroad in the past with other service learning organizations that charged upwards of $3,000 in participation fees, while INMED provided the same structure, organization and guidance for a fraction of the cost. The physician I worked with in Ghana was truly interested in teaching and made sure I had not only an active role in the hospital by participating in direct patient care, but also allowed me to experience the culture by inviting me for some of his family's home cooked Ghanaian meals and encouraging me to go on trips to nearby villages with his Ghanaian co-workers. I have already recommended INMED to my fellow classmates."

First-Hand Experience With Sustainable Third-World Health Care
"Around the world are hospitals run by people with precious experience and expertise. As a medical student, my challenge was to find one where I could go, learn, and help out; be more than a medical tourist. My elective thru INMED did all this and more. I recommend INMED without hesitation as one of the best ways to participate in international health and learn to build sustainable health care systems. From supporting me in every detail of my first trip overseas; to their online tropical medicine course; to regular check-ins, reminders, and helpful advice; to having an amazing number of sites to choose from; I recommend INMED to every health care worker with a heart for medical missions."

Couldn't Have Been Any Better
"I was looking for an international medicine rotation for over a year. I e-mailed hundreds of individuals and organizations and each time lost contact or it fell through. I got to the point where I thought it just wasn't going to happen when I came across INMED. Since the beginning of my interaction with INMED, I have been very impressed with the hard work and organization of everyone involved. Without INMED, I can't imagine that my international medicine experience could have been any better."

Training For Anyone With A Heart For The World
"After spending one month in Ghana with INMED's help, I have decided to incorporate international medicine into my career plans. I learned to
care for people with terrible diseases of poverty, like malaria and typhoid, that I would never have see here in the States. I also learned to
appreciate how thankful Ghanaians are for the little they possess. I recommend training for anyone with a heart for the world."

Work In Ghana Changed My Life
"Working in Ghana changed my life. My mentors were two Christian physicians who treated patients the best they could, even if
that meant being on call every night and not eating for an entire day. Most people just ignore those on the other side of the world
dying of diseases that could be easily treated, yet these physicians chose to serve. Their example helped strengthen my own faith
in God. I would now like to work in developing nations into my future to help those who are less fortunate."
