International HIV Medicine Course Welcome
At the completion of this course, participants will be able in the context of a low-resource community to:
IOM: Work in interdisciplinary teams; Employ Evidence-based practices ACGME/ABMS: Medical knowledge; Interpersonal and communications skills; Professionalism; and Systems-based practice
This course is introductory in nature. Learners are encouraged to then further their knowledge and skills through study of excellent low-resource HIV care resources, including those published by the WHO and CDC, and through taking part in supervised HIV interventions, like the INMED International HIV Medicine Certificate program. Low-resource HIV care is a field in rapid development. Therefore, for current medication indications, protocols, dosages and adverse effects, please refer to the most up-to-date resources available.
