I have been in the healthcare industry for the past six years in both mental health and geriatric care. I have also been a Christian missionary for the past 20 years in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. I am taking the Diploma in International Public Health because I want to understand the illnesses that communities around the globe are predisposed to, the factors that encourage their spread, work to prevent their effects, and provide management strategies for those who are suffering from the illness. The DIPH serves as another vehicle for me to help empower communities to reach their highest level of independence and health. My future plan is to continue engaging in missionary work overseas in Africa and Latin America.
