Hello! My name is Niki and I am a 2nd year medical student in Mississippi. Prior to medical school, I worked as a research coordinator for oncology clinical trials at an urban academic institution. I am taking this course as part of the global health track at my school and to better understand how I can most effectively utilize my medical education and training to positively impact those living in under-resourced communities in the US and abroad. Although I am currently undecided about my future specialty, I aim to continue my medical training in a way that allows me to serve patients both in the US and globally. As a medical student, I also hope to involve myself in global service experiences while still enrolled in school.
