The following resources are vetted and recommended by INMED for the purposes of academic compositions, scholarly projects, and patient care questions connected with INMED learning.
Books
The National Library of Medicine Bookshelf are open access, full text books covering the spectrum of health and health profession subjects. These books in contacts are fully searchable.
Databases
CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health) indexes top nursing and allied health literature available including nursing journals and publications from the National League for Nursing and the American Nurses Association.

MEDLINE is the National Library of Medicine’s (NLM) premier bibliographic database that contains references to journal articles in life sciences, with a concentration on biomedicine.
MEDLINE is available via PubMed, also a service of the NLM. Highlights of PubMed include:

Images and Graphics
Open-i is an open access, biomedical image search engine that allows users to search and retrieve over 3.7 million abstracts and images (including charts, graphs, clinical images, etc.) from the open-source literature, and biomedical image collections.
Journals
BioMed Central‘s online journals have been open access since 1999, and include the well-known publications BMC Biology and BMC Medicine. BMC is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics, a UK charity organization that promotes integrity in scholarly research.
Directory of Open Access Journals indexes 20,000 freely available journals published in 135 nations. The site promotes worldwide peer-reviewed open access scholarship.
Elsevier is a leader in information and analytics in the fields of health and global research. Elsevier offers a wide range of open access options for learners, institutions, and researchers. To get started, search for topics in the upper right search field. Journals that are marked as Gold are open access.
JAMA Network is a group of highly esteemed medical journals overseen by the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). The published articles are searchable via this webpage. Subjects include cardiology, dermatology, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, psychiatry, and surgery.
Royal Society Open Science is an open access journal published by the United Kingdom Royal Society, the world’s oldest and one of the most renowned independent scientific bodies.
SAGE Open deliver studies for researchers, students, and the general public that adhere to the most rigorous peer-review standards. SAGE’s open access journals on the site are marked as Gold. To begin, search for topics in the top center search field.
SpringerOpen is an academic open access journal for the fields of health, science and technology. To get started, search for topics in the top center search field.
Resources
Google Scholar is a subset of the larger Google search index, consisting of full-text journal articles, technical reports, preprints, theses, books, and other documents, including selected Web pages that are deemed to be “scholarly.” Although Google Scholar covers a great range of topical areas, it appears to be strongest in the sciences, particularly medicine, and secondarily in the social sciences. The company claims to have full-text content from all major publishers except Elsevier and the American Chemical Society, as well as hosting services such as Highwire and Ingenta.
